Cross-Country Skiing

Each season this program provides all members with the opportunity to enjoy cross-country outings. Those who snowshoe are welcome on all trips, but groomed trails may be off limits for snow shoeing. Members get together in car pools to drive to the scheduled trailhead. They enjoy skiing in beautiful Colorado, usually pack a lunch and have a short get-together after the skiing is done.

Lessons

SkiMeisters arranges for classic or ski-skating lessons at the beginning of the ski season. Rentals skis are available.

Schedule

The schedule for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing is contained in the fall (November) Flurries available in the Members-only website. This schedule will include the meeting place, the trip difficulty and other details specific to the trip. Those interested in attending should contact the Trip Host and look for updates in the Cross-country Blog on the Member-only website.

Meeting Times & Places

Unless otherwise noted, all cross-country trips will begin at the meeting place at 9:30 a.m. If you want to participate in any trip call the host or hostess ahead of time. In addition to keeping track of who and how many are interested, your call will help in planning for carpooling. Carpoolers from Denver usually meet at the northwest parking lot at the I-70 Morrison exit on Tuesdays. On Saturdays, car-poolers should meet at the RTD lot at 4th Avenue and Union Boulevard, unless otherwise noted by the trip leader.
